G'day from Marianne in Australia Posted by MarianneMettes on Jan 21, 2013
Hey guys,
My name is Marianne Mettes and I haven't been a puppeteer for that long (about 2-3 years) - but since I decided to become a puppeteer (literally overnight), I've lived and breathed it in so hard, sometimes I can't stand up straight! With a lot of hard work and dedication, I've now made it my career and set up my own little puppet business! In 2010 I travelled to the USA where I went to several puppetry festivals and met so many incredible people and saw so many inspiring things. In all my life, I don't think I've ever had an experience quite like it. I hope to go back there again this year, and visit all the amazing friends I made then and be inspired all over again!
For the last 6 months or so, I have been working on developing my own puppet webseries about an Aussie bloke and his dog who have to take over their grandfather's farm. I've just launched a big project here: http://www.pozible.com/baznsnags
Since I know that most of you are a lot more experienced in puppetry than I am, I'd really appreciate your feedback on my project. Most importantly, would it be something you'd enjoy watching?
Thanks guys,
Marianne

Love the wig

Also, have received your email, but currently unable to reply due to library firewall. I will get back to you as soon as I get a more pliable internet connection.
Nice to see not only another Aussie here, but one I've actually met in real life!!

Really enjoyed the Baz n Snags stuff Marianne. Loved the pic of the hand puppet sheep on your site as well - he should have a show on his own!
