Hi, I recently found a small cat marionette that I played with as a boy. The strings were broken but the controller was present. I've bought some 0.6mm thread and have replaced the strings. The controller is shaped like a cross with 6 eyes to tie strings to. How do I work out where to tie the strings and how to tie them on the controller? The cat has two strings on the head, one on the neck, one at the rear of the body,  one at the end of the tail and one string on each of the 4 legs.Message Image  What sort of knot is used to tie the strings to the controller? I'm new to this,  any help appreciated,  thanks 😊

It is kind of  hard to know for sure without seeing the control.  The head strings most likely went to one hole at the front of the control. The two body strings would go on that same main. in the next two holes then the tail to maybe the same as the back/butt string or right behind it. the legs are going to go to the cross piece.
