Hi everyone,

I saw Avenue Q a few weeks ago and, after seeing it, I became a bit obsessed so I started checking things about it online.  In the process, I began watching videos and seeing tutorials of people making their own puppets and I realized I'd like to attempt that!  Soooo.... here is a picture of my very first foam puppet, Baby Cakes!  She's only a head right now, but I'm pretty pleased with the results so far.  I didnt' use a pattern or anything, I just kinda followed the tutorials and this is what I came up with.  I have no idea how to make a body for her.  Any suggestions on the best way to get started on that?  I think ultimately I might make a web show or something with her.

That's a great puppet, especially considering you didn't use a pattern. The shape of the head and the fleece covering is very well done

Thanks for all the support everyone! :D  I'm really pleased with the final resuls.  Luckily I was able to hide a lot of the flaws with Baby Cakes' wig and other things.  Hee Hee.  I need to get a webcam so I can start performing as her.
