Thanks folks.

Well, another great day of filming is behind us and there's only one major scene left to get in the can.  Editing has been an ongoing affair and everything is coming together nicely.

There have been some interesting changes as the film has developed and for the better, I think.  For example, the apartment scene we shot a while back and the scene we shot yesterday were all going to be in one location - a science lab.  This is what we're shooting next, in fact.  However, we decided that since we're looking at puppets, and a film that will probably come in around 75 minutes, we're essentially dealing with over an hour of talking heads.  To also set almost half the film in one location was going perhaps going to be very very boring to audiences.  Thus, two new scenes were born.

So now we have the apartment scene and also a face scene - that brings us the big showdown!

Below are a few pics of the set elements.  Film stills will follow after the edit is underway.

Enjoy.

Great! Well done. When do we get to see the puppets in the set? It will be  good to see it all through the lens

Wow. You really seem to be getting along. Editing is the worst drag there is (imho).

Thanks.  Actually, I love editing.  It's my favourite part of the process.  It just takes so bloody long sometimes!  I make all my intended adjustments first in my raw import footage; in this case giving it an old film overlay, desaturation, a slight blur to soften the image, etc.  That saves me from making adjustments to hundreds of individual chunks of edited material after it's cut together.  But by doing so, it takes hours to render all that data.

Set pics coming soon.  Stay tuned...

Maybe I am just too materialistic- I love to put my hands into stuff...

Well, I mean filmmaking process.  I love making the puppets too, but I see it as a different thing.

I agree with you PoorFishy. I love to process too... and puppet making is part of the  process for us. and all the other stuff too.
