Hey everyone.  Thanks so much to those who have picked up a copy of It Came from Uranus through PayPal.  They have been mailed out and should be on your doorstep very soon.  I hope you enjoy it.

We still have some copies left, so why not grab something fun and unique for that hard-to-buy-for puppet enthusiast in your life?  It's easy, especially if you have a PayPal account.

Simply log in and then click on Send Payment. Paste poorfishy@live.ca into the box for who you want to pay and then enter $15.00 in the amount box.  Below that you should see a message box where you can type a message along with your address so that we can send you the DVD.

Something worth mentioning:  There are 41 deliberately placed pop culture references - some clear and obvious and others subtle and obscure.  Each DVD has a checklist enclosed listing each reference.  As you watch the film, why not see how many you can find?

Thanks folks.

A comment from a viewer of It Came from Uranus:

"I thought the movie was just amazing.  I laughed so much, it felt like all the jokes were written for me and I didn't want it to end.  I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard during a movie.  The way the story developed, the characters, the puppets, and the voices were all awesome!  I have been recommending this film to all my friends and I'm planning on rewatching it with most of them.  I have seen a lot of independent films and this is one that really stands out among them.  I hope more people discover it!  I'm hoping to direct a feature film next summer and "It Came From Uranus" has definitely inspired me to try to complete it!"

This made my day!  Awesome!

Hey Fishy, is there still DVD's available?
Re: It Came from Uranus Posted by PoorFishy on Jan 08, 2013
Hey there.  I'm currently sold out but it's just a matter of burning copies and prepping labels and covers if you're interested.  I have a few others asking as well.

I was finally able to watch the film.  It really is great fun!  I enjoyed not only watching out for the pop culture references but exploring the background in shots. Watch out for those nurses in the doctors office! If you love the old 50s sci-fi films and camp then you are going to love this film. It might just become a cult classic.

We just got word that the local cable station wants to air our film (along with other local features) in the fall.  This is exciting news.

Shawn, I'm glad you noticed the sign in the doctor's office.  There is a ton of set detail like that.  The demolition derby poster in Rocco's apartment, for example, offers Rocco's nickname as well as tag lines like 'Beer, Food, Fiery Deaths, Fun for the Whole Family'.  And no one will ever be able to read it but there is hilarious text on the Incognito poster.  My personal have is the box in the lab that says 'Irradiated Lab Monkeys: DO NOT EAT".

Also, my good friend George R Zombieman makes a cameo on the cover of the sic-fi book Alice is reading at the beginning of the film.

Ah... I missed George R Zombieman.    Congrats on getting the local cable station to air your film.
