Yes, I have to SEE everything, too. Reading or listening doesn't help. Your blog is great, those puppets are just not something I feel comfortable with, creativly. I am stuck on modelling...

Quick tip on applying wispy hair like you did.  Before you attach them to the head you can take piece of thread and wrap it around the base of the pieces you cut off. To start you can knot the thread and with the needle push it through the base of one feather normally. If not just tie around the clump and then wrap about for our five times really tight and tie off. Then dip the end in some glue. You can let that dry and then attach or you can add direct to your puppet and let it dry.  Just gives it all a bit more holding power.
