Modified forearm crutches for forearms/wings

This is the finished prototype. I need to work on the next version that'll be a bit smaller, lighter and stronger. I need to figure out a way to strengthen the joints on the forearm crutches...

Very nice.  Can you explain why you applied the black ties to the foam head?  Not sure I understand what your where doing there.  The kids seemed to be really enjoying it!

The black ties are actually fiberglass rods from a cheap kite. I only used the foam head as a mold more or less. Once I laid the rods down as structural struts, I covered the whole thing with resin-soaked ripstop nylon, then carved out and removed the foam to reduce weight, so the head was hollow. Essentially like a giant hardened kite.  @ pagestep007- I've been using it for a variety of venues, but mostly school visits to introduce kids to paleontology and science.

Ok now I get it and in fact taking a closer look at the head sitting on the table with the drop cloth on it I can see that you can see through the head!
