I made my puppet Albert some new hands this past week. He needed proper hands to hold stuff, especially his karaoke microphone
PS. The mic itself is made out of sponge, so it is very light weight.

What is the top picture? Is that a mechanism to make hand posable?

Yep, that is the inside mech of the hand where the rods can go in. I never put permanent hand rods in my puppets, so this allows me to insert and remove the rods when required.
